Greatest!!

My eyes almost teared upon seeing this picture taken. Really miss my parents after marriage and I'm truly thankful to God for blessing me with such wonderful and loving parents. Thank you daddy and mummy for your unending love and support for me. Both of you are the greatest!!

And I found this picture in my dad's camera which I really like... =)

It's my 3rd day of work today!!! Things are moving on alittle but still quite slow. Guess I can't expect too much since it's onli day 3 here and I better enjoy my honeymoon at work while i still can. =p

This is my first MONDAY after my long break from full-time work...feeling the blues le. My first monday blues and i certainly don't wish for more man. Desperately trying to fight the zzzz monster since I stepped into office. Mister Mok and I struggled real hard to wake up this morning
Was a real hectic week due to my dear jie mei's wedding... can't believe that she's Mrs Khoo now and heading to Europe for her honeymoon!! So happy for the both of them..

Think I'm still adjusting to the changes in my life... new husband (haha.. not that there were any old or previous ones to speak of), new job, new house and surroundings, new role and responsibilities..
Don't seem to have enough time to finish my tasks at hand and I'm constantly feeling tired...
Take for instance yest... we went home right after church and started doing household chores. Mister Mok focused on putting together some furniture that we bought last week followed by sweeping the floor and I was multi-tasking... from grocery shopping to washing and hanging 2 loads of clothes to cooking our 1st home cooked food after marriage!! It was already 9pm by the time we finished dinner and cleaning up.
We were like saying to each other: " Welcome to marriage life!" Haha...
Though it was so tiring, I must say that I had great fun and enjoyed it actually and it sure did help, esp for Larry that he need not have to send me home after all is done! =)

Hope to upload some pictures the next time I blog....

CHILD-LIKE

Just ended my stint with student care last week. It has been a interesting and also rather torturous few weeks. Was placed in charged of the P2 kids, and due to the holidays, the P1 - P3 kids were all at the student care centre. Imagine the noise level. I often find myself being tired out, not by the work, but rather by my continuous scolding and their continuous noise-making. Really wanted to be a nicer 'jie-jie' to the kids, but I can't since I had to be firm in order to keep them in control.

It was rather interesting observing the young ones though. It seems so easy for them to fall out with each other, to cry when they felt bullied and yet, it's also so easy for them to make up and forgive each other. One moment they'll be sulking and ignoring each other, and some times, the teachers might have to step in to be the peace-maker, and before you know it, with apologies exchanged, they'll dry their tears and be best of friends, playing happily once again!!!
Maybe, just maybe, we adults ought to learn from them.... letting go of grudges and hatred, and learning to forgive our enemies, in an 'easier fashion' - Like a child, carefree and without baggages.

Another interesting observation, there's this girl called wenyu. She's so adorable, such a good gal and she holds such power over the other kids in her level!! Even the biggest sized boy in P2 listens and seeks her permission and approval when playing games. It's so amazing at how much they all listened to her. And I can sorta understand well... I would often see her taking care of the others, trying to make peace or comfort those who were crying.
Well... at least she's a good leader with positive influence!

Think it's in everyone's heart to seek approval from ppl whom we deem as important and influential, ppl whom we love. Guess within us, there'll be the 'leader(s)' whose voice we tend to heed so readily and opinion and approval we seek so eagerly. Some leaders exert such a positive influence on us, yet others, not so. For some, such key leaders might not even be ppl, but objects. Think it's rather crucial to identify the key influencers in our life, for they would have such major impact and dictation in our lives.

Who's the leader(s) in my life? Immediately I could think of a couple of names... and there's One who stands out strong and I'm glad to have Him as my Leader... and I know He has to take precedence, above all other leaders... though He is sometimes neglected by me, yet I know that He holds the utmost important place in my heart... because with Him, I know that I'm safe, His advice and instructions are always for my good and He watches over me, comforts me and loves me for who I am.

Who's yours?

10 reasons why lizards are scary:

1) they are creepy;

2) they are disgustingly elastic;

3) they like to slip between tight places only to find themselves dead, flattened and dried up!

4) they seem to fall from everywhere!

5) you'll find them looking at you pitiful from your office coffee cup which you forgot to wash the day before;

6) they seem so cold and sticky that it gives you the creeps just by looking at them;

7) they run super fast and flip and turn after you spray insecticide;

8) they shit everywhere;

9) i just saw one trying to steal a sip of my barley water in the kitchen;

10) and it is still lurking somewhere in my kitchen as it went missing after my insecticide spray!

ARRRGGGHHHHHH..................... irritating lizards.... LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

Do you?

Sing aloud to God our strength ;
Make a joyful shout to the God of Jacob.
Raise a song and strike the timbrel,
The pleasant harp with the lute.
Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon,
At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.
For this is the statute for Israel,
A law of the God of Jacob.
This He established in Joseph as a testimony,
When He went throughout the land of Egypt,
Where I heard a language I did not understand.
"I removed his shoulder from the burden;
His hands were freed from the baskets.
You called in trouble and I delivered you;
I answered you in the secret place of thunder;
I tested you at the waters of Meribah.
Hear O people, and I will admonish you!
O Israel, if you will listen to Me!
There shall be no foreign god among you.
I am the Lord your God,
Who brought you out of the land of Egypt;
Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.
But my people would not heed My voice,
And Israel will have none of Me.
So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.
Oh, that My people would listen to Me,
That Israel would walk in My ways!
I would soon subdue their enemies,
And turn My hand against their adversaries.
The haters of the Lord would pretend submission to Him,
But their fate would endure forever.
He would have fed them with the finest of wheat,
And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."
Psalm 81

I worship a God who has redeemed and set me free from the bondage of sin and death. His blessings are never ending, He leads and guides me in every step, lifting me up in every situation... All He ask for is my heart... To love Him and to trust Him wholeheartedly.
Time and time again, I hear His voice calling and asking me , "Pat, do you love and trust Me enough, to leave in all in My hands, and to allow Me to walk with you?"

"What can I say, what can I do... but to offer my heart to You."
