Looking to You...

Alittle frustrated, sometimes can't help it but wonder and cry out from within... "why can't they see it!". Why is this issue resurfacing again and again? There are times when I just feel like giving in to their ways, but yet, I know that's not the way. For my call and desire is to please Him and to go by His way. (well, thats the every reason why I'm doing what I'm doing in the first place.)
Could it be because I'm the one who's not seeing it? How? Why? What? When?
I just can't seem to piece things altogether now.... and it is in times as such that I know (and have to keep reminding myself) that there's only one place to go and only one Person to look to, and that's to You.

You who promised to keep me from falling;
You who promised to show the light when darkness seems to surround;
You who promised to give unto me Your wisdom when asked;
You who promised that You'll never leave me nor forsake me;
You who hold my future in Your hands;
You who promised that Your plans are good and true;
You who promised to lead and guide with Your peace and Truth;
To You who is I AM;
To You and You alone do I look to;
for there is on one else to whom I can trust as I trust You.

So... as I look to You who is able,
I know that I am able,
yet, it is not because of me,
but because of You who lives in me!!!
So I choose to rejoice and not frown,
I choose to bow to You and not them,
I choose to trust in You, as You pick me up and lead me by Your hands;
Thank you to You who is I AM.

Met Larry's friends for the first time today (couple of his hall friends), it was easier than I thought. They are really nice people. Had dinner followed by ice cream, Pulut Hitam ice cream... super yummy yum yum.
Thank God for bringing him into my life, I've been so blessed and I know that the best is yet to come for us. Greater days and blessings are ahead!! = )

As for now, sleeping time!!! ;)

Never too late

It’s never too late to smile
It’s never too late
to cry
It’s never too late to tell someone that she’s your joy
It’s never too late
to tell someone that he’s special
It’s never too late
to say I’m sorry
It’s never too late
to accept an apology
It’s never too late
to be the giver and not the receiver
It’s never too late
to stop and ponder
It’s never too late
to run with passion
It’s never too late
to give it another try
It’s never too late
to catch a breather
It’s never too late
to pause and take in the moment
It’s never too late
to say “please” and “thank you”
It’s never too late
to search and question
It’s never too late
to be the answer
and
It’s never too late
to speak to Him who has all the answers…

It's never to late to get started

A little past quarter of a century...

Time waits for no man... and last week was a week of sudden realisation of how fast time passes by as I count the number of candles on my birthday cake(s). It just hit me hard on how much time I might have wasted and the utmost importance of capturing every moment in life. Time only moves forward, never looking back.

24 hrs daily, and thats about 227760hrs for the past 26 years!!! or so.. i'm just wondering how much time I have wasted out of these. Well, I guess I just got to look forward with the determination to treasure every single moment in life from this time forth. (Can this be considered a new year resolution? Rather vague I suppose.. )

Well, the first few moments of my 26th birthday was used to grapple with the fact that I'm a little past a quarter of a century... I've to admit that it is one of my few birthdays that I'm tilted towards the emo side... yet He brought to my side many beautiful and sweet blessings.
First and foremost, I got to spend my birthday eve with some of the closest people in my life, combined. Had dinner with dad, mum, kor, larry, wendy, rachel and gab... though the food was not fabulous (was really disappointed that TasteGood had closed down), but the people who came that day were great!!
I learnt an important lesson that night: how often have I allowed circumstances to blind or numb me from the everything that matters most- time spent with my loved ones. People whom I care about. And I know everyone was trying their best to cheer me up that night. Really appreciate and love you all!!

Secondly, this is the 1st birthday celebration that I spend together with Larry!! I'm constantly thankful for having you in my life!

Thirdly, my long time friends from secondary school remembered my birthday and we had a great time over dinner and coffee. I think it has been a while that I got to meet them so close to my birthday and it just warms my heart to know that they still care for me even though I have so little time for them. Thanks gals for everything!!

And of course, not forgetting the msges and constant age reminder that I get from the youths in XS. (I had 62 candles on my cake!!) Love you guys sooooo much.. =)

Well, a little past quarter of a century might seem saddening, but to dwell upon it wouldn't help slow down the process, instead, I'm going to heed my friend's advice and enjoy the process, taking in every good and precious moment in life!!

To age with grace is my grace. = )

Who would have thought...

Hahaa... welcome welcome! Welcome to my blog!!
Who would have thought that I'll have a blog.
How did it happen? Well, it all began when I wanted to post a comment on a friend's blog which required me to sign up for a blog account, and since I've signed up, I figured, why not just start one then? And why the blog title, " The Best is Yet to Come"? Well, because I received a beautiful drawing last Christmas from a dear friend titled such and it has been on my mind since then.
Indeed, the best is yet to come, so friends, let us look on ahead in life with joy.

Stay tune for more..
