Just 6 weeks more and it'll be my wedding day! Really looking forward to it, but am also a little anxious about the errands and stuff that's yet to be done.
It has been coming 8 months of preparation and there were many times when I'll ask myself and Larry on why so much effort and money have to be pumped in for this 1 day!?!! Why can't we just you know, get married, like sign the papers and declare to everyone that yes, we're married!! Cheap and good!! (Haha... but that wouldn't be memorable hor. Sighh... contradicting myself again.)
Anyway, we concluded that it's a special day for us to celebrate our life and journey ahead as a couple.... and I'm also reminded time and again to enjoy and treasure the process and not be bogged down by the pressure and the To-Do list.

The birth and celebration of a newborn baby would first require 9 months of preparation- adjustments for the parents and for the growth of the foetus.
Jesus Himself took 33 years to prepare before He embarked on His ministry with confidence and surety.
And my point would be: The preparation period for any big thing to come might be tough; a tedious process, requiring change, committment and sacrifices.
These past few months of prep, no doubt, had resulted in minor disagreements and miscommunication, but these episodes had also allowed us to get to know each other better as we made adjustments to the other party's working style and led us to treat one another with even greater respect. These months have also given me greater confidence as I prepare to embark onto my marriage life ahead, together with Larry!

WEDDING BELLS!! 2/11/08

2nd Nov 2008 was a day of wedding bells!! Went for Shifaa's wedding reception @ Orchid Country Club followed by Rick and Tuan's wedding dinner @ Orchard Hotel. It's my first time attending a Malay wedding and it was really an eye-opener! Interesting how traditions and customs differ...

Really glad for Tuan and Rick... I must say that the wedding went very well with only 6 months of wedding prep. As Tuan said herself, that she is very happy!!!.. true enough... her joy was shown all over her face that night!! =)
