Woke up this morning and received an sms from ex-colleague. It was a forwarded msg from my ex-P who had smsed to my office mobile.
He was asking of how I'm doing and updating me on his progress, he sounded really optismistic and told me that he wanna aim for early completion (which i'm of full confidence that he is able to achieve!).
Though it was just a simple sms, my heart was filled with warmth and thanksgiving... he remembers me!! (ok, this sounds really ego or smtg..) but that's not where i'm coming from.
It was really an encouragment to me from God that my labour was not in vain. Guess everyone needs to be encouraged and remembered by someone.
This was such a simple sms, yet, it contained such power.
Never underestimate the power of affirmation and encouragement. Never know what a simple sms might do for the other party. As for me, this sms is precious and real, and it simply made my day! =)
This sms also got me thinking... what footprints are we leaving behind, in our workplace and in the lives of our friends, family and people whom we meet everyday?
Our footprints form the true reflection of who we are... There are people who leave deep impressions (positive / negative) in people wherever they go, and there are also people who are like phantoms... entering and leaving a place without leaving any impact at all.
Are our footprints filled with success and accomplishments that are fuelled by integrity or otherwise? ... What footprints do we seek to be remembered by?
May I leave behind footprints that remind others of my Lord Jesus Christ. That's the greatest gift that I can offer unto my Savior and Redeemer.=)
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." (Johm 13:34-35)
